Why is it important to choose the truth you tell? You may not have even considered that there is more than one truth to everything. But there is. When you look at the various truths about a situation, or your life, you get the liberty to choose which on you tell. And choosing correctly can have a profound impact on your life and the lives of those you come into contact with each day.
Every day you get the chance to choose what truth you tell. When someone asks you how you are doing will you tell them how wonderful it is to be alive to day? Or will you tell them how your finger hurts. Will you share how blessed you were to wake up in a bed, under a roof, with food to eat? Or will you tell them how bad your job is and how much you hate going to work?
No matter what the situation is there is more than one truth. You can choose to share the positive truth about your life and situation or you can choose to share the bad. Whatever you concentrate on is what will guide your steps. Whatever you focus your attention on is what will drive your outlook and decisions today, and for the rest of your life.
All of this impacts more people than just you. You also impact everyone you speak to daily. You choose what they are putting into their minds throughout the day. So you can see how important it is to choose what truth to tell. And there is a time and place to tell the good and the bad. We just need to be better at deciding which times to share which truth.
